FORM, FUNCTION + SUSTAINABILITY
The art and practice of "slow fashion" and home goods through form, function and sustainability are what it's all about. Color, shape and texture also play a huge role in design choices here at The Wavering Line.
When you purchase from The Wavering Line you are consciously supporting + contributing to a small business and sharing the love for others to do the same. For that, we are forever grateful.

CLAY
• • •
Pottery and ceramics are increasingly recognized for their sustainable qualities, primarily due to the materials they use and the techniques involved in their production. The Wavering Line sources clays from our local supplier that are abundant and can be extracted without extensive environmental degradation. This practice not only reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation but also supports local economies. By prioritizing eco-friendly materials and methods, our pottery and ceramics can be produced with minimal ecological impact. Moreover, the durability of our ceramic products ensures their longevity, reducing the need for frequent replacements and, consequently, waste.
RECLAIMED METALS
• • •
With the exception of the earwires and earposts (these are ALWAYS new parts), a portion of the metal materials that are used in The Wavering Line designs come from reclaimed metal findings + jewelry.
The Wavering Line often receives donations that have lived a life as one design and are ready to be transformed into something new. The process of disassembling the findings and exploring ways to reclaim + upcycle each donated piece is an integral part of what inspires the fresh + innovative designs by The Wavering Line.
Donated pieces that are deemed unusable are taken to a local recycling or donation center. See below to learn how to donate your jewelry to be repurposed!
UPCYCLED LEATHER
• • •
All leather used by The Wavering Line comes from upcycled and scrap materials. Less waste! Each piece is cut, stamped (when design allows), conditioned and assembled by hand + with heart.
Due to the small batch nature, sustainable and intentional practice of the use of upcycled and scrap leather materials, available colors often vary and come in limited quantities.
For custom orders, please contact The Wavering Line directly about colors in stock.
